Las Vegas: May 2011

Seth and I had our Plato's Closet conference this week in Las Vegas! We went walking around the strip and these are just a few of the things we saw. (I am horrible at remembering to take pictures.)


These were some awesome indoor shops at the Venetian.

The last night we went to sigfried and roy's secret garden. There were dolphins and lions, white tigers, and leopards! It was awesome!

Ode to rainbows

3 years ago my friend Jasmine convinced me to invest in some rainbow sandals. Probably one of the best things I've ever spent $50 on. Yes, they are quite spendy..but they will seriously last probably my entire life..and I love them.

Well I got brown ones and I wear mostly grays and blacks. So I decided I was going to order a black pair. Then a pair of tan ones (brand new) ended up in our store. Couldn't pass em up for $7!

My lovely black pair just arrived in the mail yesterday!

I just can't get enough!



I highly reccomend these sandals :) ..i gotta warn you though, they are uncomfortable until they mold to your feet..you just have to endure. It's worth it. www.rainbowsandals.com

Guess HOO's 22?!

Swiss turned 22!! Yay! I made her these tasty owl cake pops for her birthday! I guess these are kind of my new obsession.

We went to the friends of felines thrift store and visited the kitties that are up for adoption.


We also went to lunch at a super cool resteraunt- word of mouth neighborhood bistro. It only serves breakfast and lunch and closes at 3! So it was super busy and we had to wait for 20 min. The food was amazing though! Swiss got the veggie burger and I got the turkey burger..both were delish.

Then we went out to woodburn for a little shopping!
We ended the night watching American idol, the office, and MegaMind! I wish I would have taken more pictures to document this awesome day.

Jones loves ducks!

So we have a regular at our store who lives on a farm. She brought some tiny baby geese in and it was the perfect photo op with Jones. :) so precious.

Cake pops and bandanas

these have been my 2 latest attempts at domestic dominance.

so i totally thought the bandana bib was an original idea. i did come up with it on my own...but i wasnt the only one to come up with it. much to my dismay...i found some more bandana bibs while browsing etsy.com. OH WELL..they are still dang cute!





cake pops are AWESOME..i am a huge fan. usually when things are this cute, they don't taste all that great...but the cake is SO good. these are very similar to some cake balls we had at our reception when seth and i got married...just decorated and put on a stick! im making some more tonight/tomorrow for my sister alyssa's bday..more pics to come :)

Jones Michael Bryan was born january 2, 2011! He's almost 3 months old now...which is hard to believe!

He is SO SO SO much fun to have around. I absolutely LOVE being a mom and love watching him grow. Seth and I are lucky to have such a good baby that sleeps so good and is super good-natured. He just melts my heart!

August?

Wow, I seriously can't belive it's August already! It's been a busy Summer in [[Plato's Closet]] world! Back to school is the busiest time of year for our business and we've been up to our elbows in jeans, hoodies, and other "casual teen and young adult clothing." I took a few sick weeks off when I was having morning sickness, but now that I'm in my 2nd trimester I feel great and have been working my booty off!

3 more days and we'll know!! the suspense is killing me!
